Thought I gave up eh? I usually do but not this time. With my girls that support me I've kept on losin' it. I'm going to wait and do monthly pictures side by side. These weekly ones show nothing except my lack of fashion. I get sick of all the pictures, there just not cute lol. Aso, I'll start posting the scale pics, that way you know I'm not just hiding ;)
Here is my progress so far. Week 3 was after the craft weekend (see previous post and you will understand :). Ahhh! But I recovered to finish out with a monthly loss of 14lbs!
There was also a few days of down time from not feeling good but I kept that -5 lb weight loss since last Monday. Didn't gain, didn't lose the from 7/22.
I have high hopes for next month as I start to attempt the Insanity workouts. I've really have been avoiding it for as long as possible because well, I really suck at working out. I have NO balance and NO coordination.
It's so much easier for me to say well at least I'm eating right. BUT now that I've seen what my one kick butt week of exercising everyday for about an average of 45 min I know I can lose so much more. I realize I can keep up that pace and it'll help my attitude about working out and my metabolism to keep me going!!
I'll update weekly, with pictures monthly from now on :) On to Month 2!!!

Losin' It Week 2 progress
So its the end of week 2, beginning of week 3
Here are my slight changes......
Yah so its only a 2 pound weight loss BUT its still a loss. I know exactly what happened. Even though I was technically eating the correct foods for the SBD I was not eating near enough and in return my energy level was super low so I wasn't working out as much as week 1.
*also following recipes from this website --> http://www.100daysofrealfood.com/
Yoga in the morning/swim OR walk in the evening.
I also wanted to mention our Facebook group page "Just BE Fit" The main goal is to help motivate and support everyone in Body, Mind, and Soul. Let me know if you would like to join, I can send you an invite :)

My plan:
Eat 6 small meals a day (a quality protein/a quality carb) *also following recipes from this website --> http://www.100daysofrealfood.com/
Yoga in the morning/swim OR walk in the evening.
This week I will try --> Vanilla flavored coconut milk in place of regular milk.
I put this in my coffee this morning and its AWESOME!
I definitely recommend!

I've been waiting for this my whole life! I'm gonna be a scarer!
Well I've been waiting a good 10 years, for Monsters University that is.
Only within the last year has the kids even gotten into Monsters Inc. but they were hooked so taking them was such a great treat for all of us. We even brought along Ethan's friend Blake.
I so loved the movie. Oh yah, the kids did too haha. :)
Mesmerizing....lol

Regular day stuff
Today (well since I'm doing this at midnight it was technically yesterday) I got to play around with my new beauty.....
This girl, Mavis ;) Mauryn named "her" will be my new best friend for many years to come.
(I know I'm spoiled...what can I say I have an awesome husband)
So now I get to have great quality memories in pictures because anyone who knows me knows this is a must haha!
AND feeds my new addiction (rather than food that is) of digital scrapbooking!!
I'm so excited to figure out how to use this. I need Val to come help me. Pretty please Val??? *batting my eyelashes*
Anyways a couple of things we did today. The oh so much fun trampoline
(by far the best money spent on a kids toy)
And finally an every kid dinner event.....The dreaded broccoli tasting.....
Now they've had it before (not often enough apparently haha!)
but I wanted to capture their reaction this time.
They are going to have to suck it up because we now eat healthy :)

Losin' It Week 1
I've renamed my weight loss program to Losin' It--which does leave it up to interpretation :/ !! BUT as I lose certain things I will gain positive things in its place.
Here is my Week 1 progress.......
Now you really can't tell anything and I didn't expect to but I am not going to dare wear skin tight anything's for awhile. Disappointing I know! :) I hope to see progress monthly though!
I stayed on my diet pretty strictly. I even had to face a huge buffet of 4th of July food (stickin' awesome jalapeno popper dip was actually in my presence courtesy of my SIL Kristina and I didn't devour it--> Technically it didn't even make it to the table everyone else hovered until it was gone. It was that good!) and a wedding. No wedding cake. I deserve a medal for that!
Exercise tapered off while I was out of town. I played with the kids outside and danced a little at the wedding dance but it wasn't really workout worthy. But my dance skills were flippin' awesome--I can chicken dance like no other ;)
Things I will change for this next week will be portion size. I ate the correct things for the phase 1 of SBD BUT portion size (which isn't technically something to be super strict on) was a little out of control at times (cough 4th of July food!)
Next Monday I get to introduce myself to "Healthy Carbs". I can't wait to see you healthy bread and fruits!
Here I go...Let's see what I can do this week.
Lost: 12lbs Gained: Incentive to keep doing it Feelings: HAPPY

My Grandparents
I have been thinking of my Grandparents a lot lately and remembering different wonderful things....
Like the smell of their house (part coffee, part toast, part special only to them that I sometimes get randomly that makes my heart happy).
Grandma laughing so hard she cries, Grandma sleeping straight up with a cup of coffee in her hand (my Dad can do that too!), Grandpa up early with his bible, bringing you into discussion if you sat long enough.
Sitting around the gigantic kitchen table (that I now have) but miss that old green one! Also a lot of KFC and card playing on that table.
Walking into Grandmas painting room and standing in awe of her creativity.
The family reunions spent at their house. It was hot outside but super cold next to that air conditioning unit. Or in the winter standing by that old tall heater in the corner.
Playing with my cousins --> The Haunted Upstairs, daring to run around Maw Maw and Paw Paws trailer, playing in the playhouse Grandpa built, running around in the field behind the house. The classic Matthew joke "Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the mustard house" and Aunt Tressie just rolling with laughter.
Laying down on that green shag carpeting playing with wooden blocks, listening to the stories of our parents childhood (the ones that are word-for-word memories because they were told every get together). They must have had a great childhood.
Sleeping upstairs in that first bedroom, one hard bed--one soft bed, one huge, LOUD fan that helped us drift off to sleep.
Pretending we were spies looking down through the vent to hear all the adults talk in the kitchen. We were so sneaky because the adults could never figure out where we were--or so we thought.
What wonderful grandparents we had and what a great loves story they had........

Day 2: -3 lbs.
Day 2: So I'm down 3 lbs. What? (Yes, I know its part water weight, don't steal my thunder little raincloud :)
I have these little workout buddies who are helping me and tell me to suck it up (by the way they pass me on all energy levels) Quite humbling to know your 4 year old can do more of a workout than you can.
I stuck to my plan the entire day. Stayed within phase 1 SBD limits, 20 min. cardio (JM 30 day shred video) and 40 minutes walking after dinner. Really wasn't that hard but truthfully I was riding high on first day excitement.
The real test is Thursday and Friday! 4th of July.....family with tons of amazing 4th of July food
and a wedding. :O
Here I go on Day 2. Next update will be next Monday. It'll be more dramatic and interesting. BUT if you are dying to know what's going on it will be....

Happy at half the size Day 1!
Alright. Now to switch gears a bit. I'm now going to document my progress of getting in shape. About time right? I've started and stopped about 50 times & picked up tips along the way so hopefully I can put them in one place all together and get this actually done! I'm getting help from my awesome sister, Emily and awesome cousin, Nicole!
Now the plan is to use the South Beach diet and Jillian Michaels 30 day shred working up to the Insanity videos. Im pretty far off and plan on going at a pace so not to frustrate me.
Ok so I'm so crazy overweight. I wont use boring excuses just a plan to correct it.
Let me start off with an awesome picture from the last hurrah dinner.......(I'll be honest, I've only considered dieting because of the freakin' last hurrah days LOL)
That's super cute right there. --> LOL Just kidding!
dangerous I know and Im a flippin' nurse I know better.
